Dr. Theresa Dubois and Dale Dubois: The Visionaries Behind Rise Canyon Ranch - At the heart of Rise Canyon Ranch stands two remarkable individuals who have turned their shared hopes and dreams into a thriving reality. Dr. Theresa Dubois, Founder, and Dale Dubois, President (CEO) and Co-Founder respectively, have dedicated their aspirations and efforts to harnessing the healing power of horses to create sanctuaries that transform lives through equine-assisted therapies and learning.

Staff - Rise Canyon Ranch contracts with professional licensed mental health professionals and Interns in California and Arizona with Doctorate or Master level degrees in therapy/counseling or related fields as our professional staff. Our dedicated mental health team is comprised of experienced professionals committed to providing compassionate and effective care. We offer a range of services delivered by licensed psychiatrists, licensed therapists and equine specialists. We work collaboratively with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. Rise Canyon Ranch also contracts with local, state and Federal agencies to incorporate our programs into their treatment plans.

Rise Canyon Ranch is a member of the international organization Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), leaders in the field of Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy emphasizing safety training and therapeutic techniques. All activities are approved by EAGALA. Safety is regulated through North American Horseman's Association. Rise Canyon Ranch employs EAGALA Certified Equine Specialists.

Board of Directors - Rise Canyon Ranch’s Board of Directors consists of professionals from the community such as counselors, CPAs, law enforcement, businessmen, horse owners, and attorneys. In accordance with the rules set forth for Nonprofit 501(c)(3) entities, this working Board evaluates all activities as to their effectiveness, legal responsibilities, and ethical obligations determining that it is in the best interest of the program participants at all times. The Board of Directors also evaluates and approves all volunteers, who are trained by Rise Canyon Ranch’s Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy team in safety and professional relations.

In addition to the regulations made by Rise Canyon Ranch’s Board of Directors, this professional, therapeutic program also abides by the ethical standards set forth in the California Board of Behavioral Sciences Rules and Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners Rules.
